In Quel'Thalas beyond the streams
There dwelled the higborne in their dreams
There danced the elves and sang along
To ancient rhymes when world was young
From Quel'Thalas the world was screened
To Eversong in crystal green
Their Squires bold, their maidens bright
Of them Elune was blessed with light
A goddess named by priests of moon
Enchanted light engulphed Elune
At night, she sneaked to Eversong
Where-on moon casts its light so long
Under the stars, between the trees
Elune did dance so light and free
Amongst the lilacs, silver leaves
The lillies and the linden-leaves
Amongst the elms and mighty oaks
Deep in the woods the music woke
Elune was dancing to a beat
While Crimson Roses kissed her feet
Her skin so smooth like butter-cream
As fair and white as elven dreams
Her slender arms, her flawless feet
In harmony did part and meet
Her eyes of green Jade glimmering
At night, her white robes shimmering
And like the stars upon the moon
The fireflies embraced Elune
As pearls upon her golden hair
The lillies shone so bright and fair
Like silve mingling golden thread
Throne of the crown upon her head
One shrouded night, the moon was cloaked
The world was dim, in darkness soaked
The daughter of the moon set forth
To heal the lands both south and north
Both beast and bird, both ent and tree
In one did yell "Elune, the free!
Elune, Elune, unmarred by gloom
The world is scarred with claws of doom
Esh nu, Elune, viel dal'thien?
Beyond the eyes of elves and men
Elune, esh no do dalanaar?
Why has the maiden strayed so far?
Beyond the woods of Ashenvale
Or Theramore upon a sail
Alas! Elune has passed away
And where she fared no one can say
Till moon invokes the stars and call
Elune again to pause the fall
Till then at night seek light of stars
Have faith in moon where shadows are
